READY TO GO COUNT ZERO
I realized today that I am on ep 19 of Agito and I have yet to make any posts about it besides the one about Shouichi's large vegetable. :D;;;;
Anyway.
I love Hikawa. Yes,
dimmie, he did indeed end up being my favorite. For the reasons you guessed. XD
And I just love his relationshp with Ozawa. They're... well, it's not overtly shippy, outside of her saying Hojou is not cute like Hikawa, but it works so well considering they're cops, so... yeah. I think they're very cute.
Ozawa herself is very cool. I like how she's opinionated and snarky and has no problem telling people off. She's not quite on Misaki's level of sheer awesomeness, but that might be because Misaki had a more developed role. Who knows.
Ryou is... well. It's not that I don't care, it's that his story seems to be on the backburner a lot of the time, so he's basically just the poor woobie cursed with a terrible and uncontrollable power at this point. I assume that will change at some point, though. Probably very soon, to judge by episode titles. 8D;;;;;;
And Shoichi... ah, Shoichi. He's very very amusing, but again Dimmie is right... he was never meant to be my favorite, probably because he's so uncomplicated? I do find his antics endlessly entertaining.
Hojou is a total douchebag. And not the sort of Douchebag I find entertaining either. >.>
For a moment there, when he figured out the Tsukasa thing, I thought "Shit, now they're going to use this to show a side of him I will respect and maybe like a little", but nope, still a douchebag. Of course, a LOT of my dislike to him is because he's a total jackass to Hikawa, so.
As for the story, it seems to be really well developed and thought out. It's intriguing, there's fun little questions piquing (sp?) my interest all over the place, and I have high hopes from what Dimmie has said that it will be resolved satisfactorily... unlike some other series I could name, that dropped the ball at the end, Kabuto. 8D/
At this point I'm particularly interested in GIrly Mysterious Dude, who I assume is this Lord of The Dark dude, and obviously the whole mysterious deal with the Akatsuki-gou... basically what I'm assuming is that the people on it were special in some ways. Of course, now Aki is complicatign things because she doesnt' seem like she's merely a human with special powers, it seems that she's MORE than human. Although if she's "just" a really special human, it explains why the Unknown went after her when she attacked Hojou... this is actually am not sure I would have figured out already on my own, but it was pretty much spelled out in Decade that the reason the Unknown are killing humans is because humans are developing powers that they should not have because inevitably they will be misused. It's a really interesting idea to develop, in any case.
Speaking of special humans, I also love Mana-chan. XD
Aki-chan on the other hand I do NOT like at all, she's fucking creepy. And I assume that she was lying to Shoichi about being a couple, and Shoichi may not be my favorite Agito character, but taking advantage of his naivete = NOT COOL AT ALL.
Oh, that reminds me. It's pretty obvious that Shoichi was on the Akatsuki-gou, isn't it? Which lends weight to the theory that the people on that boat were special. Actually, now that I think of it, and I remember the tapestry, and Kuuga leading the people from the ark... well well. This is all getting REALLY interesting. XD
Probably not the most insightful post ever. Oh well. XD
Anyway.

I'm still on the HATE HATE DIE YOU LITTLE BITCH stage with Hojou. :Dv
And Aki's already dead. Good riddance. Poor Ryoh, though.
And yeah, Decade spoiled some things you were not supposed to know yet, but that was inevitable. ¦DD
Speaking of Decade! The more I see of Agito, the more impressed I am by Decade's Agito world. It's really perfect isn't? All the references and little details. For instance, I just passed the part where Mean Mentor Dude gives Ozawa to chip to lower G3-X's level, and I went "oooooooooh, so THAT's why it was a ~TREASURE~ worthy of Daiki!".
But damn, it's hard to talk about your favorite series without being all overly excitd. D:
Yes, it is. This is why I barely ever talk about X with the uninitiated. :D;;;;;;
