It's.... very hard not to be. They don't make any effort whatsoever to make their relationship seem like what it SHOULD be, of Amane seeing in Hajime a surrogate father for the one she's lost. It just comes across very much like she has a pre-teen crush on him and he makes no effort to dissuade her. And then the movie makes it even worst and the whole thing just goes irremediably down the gutter. >>
