I CAN'T PICK A SHIP.

Seriously, usually there is ONE ship I love above all others in a given fandom... and even if there's not one FAVORITE, there's usually one ship I prefer by a LOT for the characters I like (how OTPy), but... I just can't pick a ship for Tsukasa.

On the one hand, Daiki is awesome and pretty much my favorite Decade character after 5 episodes, and his interaction with Tsukasa is just delicious, and leads exactly to one of my very favorite types of slash. The pissing contests! The snark! The way Daiki gets under Tsukasa's skin, and the way that... well, Daiki is VERY weird, and doesn't seem to be capable of forming normal normal relationships with people, in act I would say he's emotionally stunted and certainly doesn't seem to have much in the way of empathy, but he seems to... enjoy Tsukasa. I find it all extremely intriguing and am all over that.

But then there's Yusuke. Saiko no team! I love the way their relationship has progressed from mutual distrust to a very solid friendship, I love how they rely on each other. I love how they watch out for each other, and I love that there's just a very obvious, comfortable rapport between Yusuke and Tsukasa (and I do think a lot of that has to do with Murai and Ma-kun's friendship and having been on Tenimyu... it just adds such richness to their characters' relationship. Tsukasa, although not as off as Daiki, certainly seems to have a bit of trouble connecting with people (although the difference is that I think Tsukasa is... preoccupied and absorbed by other things and thus has trouble connecting, while Daiki just has faulty wiring where empathy is concerned), and I really love how his partnership and now friendship with Yusuke is making him open up a bit. I mean, he's never going to be a people person, but just the fact that he can accept Yusuke's friendship like he does now is a lot.

Anyway, I really can't pick which of them to slash Tsukasa with. They bring very different but equally enjoyable dynamics... and adding Natsumi to the mix only complicates things.

And so I fear I have no choice but to declare Tsukasa the resident village bike~ \:D/

I know, right. I can't pick a pairing either. Dammit, Tsukasa. And add his dynamics with Kazuma too. I meant, he's still using Kazuma's gloves, FFS.

I'm convinced that if Takumi didn't have Yuri *facepalms*, or Shoichi-san didn't have Yashiro-san, we'd be able to slash Tsukasa with them too.

I really felt for Yusuke this ep, when he realized that he just could never be what he was to HIS Yashiro to this world's Yashiro, because Shoichi was already that for her. ;_____;

YES. His smiles at her! Althoug it's obvious that he was really sad, but he's happy too for her. And it's just amazing how he can still smile very brightly like that.

I loved when Ma-kun was all "Let's go, Yusuke!" and pulled Yusuke up on the Agito Tornader. That was so awesome. XD

And how Yusuke saved Tsukasa twice this ep. And how Tsukasa said he was protecting Shoichi because of Yashiro, and how THAT was ultimately all for Yusuke. *___*
