gekidasa: (Tsukasa/Natsumi)

Right, so, after watching and understanding all the stuff I didn't catch in the raw:

☆ Anyone else think that the reason Tsukasa was being such a bitch wasn't just his natural disposition, but also the fact that Natsumikan and Yusuke were all "If this is your world, you can find your family and friends! Won't that be nice?" without realizing they ARE his family and friends? Therefore, he had to be an ass and PROVE (to himself first and foremost) that he doesn't need them. Actually, I kid, sort of. I don't really think it's a "Well, fuck YOU too", strictly speaking, so much as that he's starting to realize what they mean to him, and is therefore acting up and trying to prove that it's not true, that he's still a "passing through Kamen Rider". A rebel without a cause, sort of?

☆ Minami Kotaro? STILL hot \:D/

☆ Yusuke pointing out that Tsukasa is sulking? YOU GO, YUSUKE.

☆ There's a whole essay to be written about how Tsukasa starts this arc just wanting to "pass through" and coast along with no home, no attachments or commitments, SPECIALLY it seems in relation to Natsumi, who was already making it a point t give him somewhere to belong to, and how by the end of the arc he has tacitly accepted that he has a home, and is attached and committed to Natsumi and Yusuke, and how at heart it's basically a sort of coming of age story. But it's late and I'm not even gonna try. :D

☆ Daaaaaamn. Tsukasa was an even bigger insolent brat to Kotaro than I realized. I may only have seen a couple of episodes of Black at this point, but even I can tell you just should not do that.

☆ Natsumikan: "Don't say such lonely things like not needing a home to return to." Tsukasa: "There's no reason for you to feel lonely for me." There he goes, rejecting the fact that there's already a bond between them, because he doesn't want to admit that he's attached to her. It's really interesting, he claims to be looking for the place he belongs to, but he actually acts as if he's afraid of belonging anywhere. Oh, you silly boy. What I wonder, in light of the conversation on the rooftop with Yusuke, is whether all along he was reluctant to let himself become attached for fear of someone he loved getting hurt, or if it really was basically an adolescent fit about to not wanting to belong, and that other aspect hadn't ocurred to him.

☆ "Why not come to our world. There's at least a space for you to sleep, Tsukasa-kun" ← I don't even have to say ANYTHING about that, do I?

☆ Yusuke: "Tsukasa sure isn't honest about his feelings" You, sir, are a wise man.

☆ "Decade is a troublesome enemy for us" So, did Tsukasa betray DaiShocker BEFORE losing his memory?

☆ Daiki: "This is the first time I've seen Tsukasa have so many openings" They all know him better than he seems to know himself. :D

☆ Right, so, since I have never seen any X, Daiki's explanation about Apollo Geist using the Perfecter (The Item Formerly Known As Soul-sucking Thingy) to extend his own life came as news to me. Correct me if I'm wrong here but that means the perfecter basically sucks away the TIME you have left to live ("Instead of sucking water, I'm sucking life. I've just sucked one year of your life away..."). Which means that what Tsukasa did in this week's ep was... to willingly shorten his own life, in order to give Natsumi more time to live hers. Damn. That's an even bigger sacrifice than I realized. Because I thought, oh, he survived, he managed to bring her back without using himself up, I guess everything is okay. I did not realize that is basically choosing to die before his time for Natsumi's sake *_______*.

☆ It's all one big convulted game Daiki is playing, isn't it? And I suspect it's not really a game at all. But he's still a troll. :D

☆ I didn't realize Tsukasa called Yusuke a burden. He is REALLY lucky to have such a kind, wise friend, who is willing to look past his bullshit and forgive him for it.

☆ It amuses me that Kotaro is basically saying "so, you've decided to grow up, Tsukasa" and Tsukasa is like "AND WHAT OF IT" like he wasn't fighting it tooth and nails just a little while ago. But the thing, he really did, and when he says that fighting for your friends doesn't sound so bad, that's the moment Tsukasa becomes a man and a real hero, isn't it?

I'm done now. :D

I'm glad you enjoyed reading my rambling thoughts. ♡

Oh, and he DID tell Natsumi that nakama is the word he hates most.
Way to go, Dickeido. *slow clap*
