I just got spoiled on the end of Ryuki. >:

It really pissed me off because I've been REALLY fucking careful to not even google the ACTORS to avoid seeing spoilers blurbs in Google, and then I get spoiled to the end of the whole series because I make a comment to someone about KENZAKi.

GOD. Seriously. Don't assume everyone has seen everything you have. How hard is it to NOT mention the end of the entire series, specially considering it's JUST been finished by subbers.

I ship Tendou/Hiyori even now 8D/
I just can't accept that one of the most great possible pairings are brothers D:

Haha, well, you KNOW... the thing is they're actually NOT, biologically speaking.

Dimmie and I had a long conversation about this issue earlier this year.

YEAAAAH 8D
Native invasion, I love you!

Don't you think they could be really perfect together?

I really liked the idea of them, and Tendou's concern for HIyori made him a lot more human. If things had turned out differently and it had been a valid ship, I probably would have sympathized more with Tendou (for the record, I don't DISLIKE Tendou, I find him amusing... but I wouldn't want him in my life and he's one of the characters I'm less interested in in Kabuto).

As for HIyori, the thing is that after the revelation the path the character took made me REALLY not care about her, but, well, if the series had taken a different path around the time when he was supposed to take her to the tulip show, I could have really liked them as a pairing.

Haha, but to answer your question point blank... if I put aside the squickiness I get from Tendou CONSIDERING her his sister and try to see it as I did before it was revealed... yes, it'd be really cute.

Tendou is my fave character, but I acknowledge that he's too... how can I put it... too Tendou sometimes, if you know what I mean 8D/
For Hiyori, I think she could be a little happier.
Anyway, both Tendou and Hiyori would be better characters if they ended together, I mean, what is lacking in them is love :D

See, the thing abotu Tendou is... he's an amusing character, and I like him well enough, but "like him well enough" in a series full of characters I ADORE to little pieces (Yaguruma AND Kageyama in the end, Kagami, Misaki, Daisuke and Gon, Tsurugi), "liking him well enough" just isn't very much, in comparison. :D;;;

I understand, this happened with me in HIbiki.
Btw, the characters in Kabuto are SO nice that they battle in our minds to be the fave ones <3

Yeah... plot-wise, Kabuto has a lot of plot-holes, but characters-wise, I can't really think of any other series (ANY kind of series) where I love such a high percentage of the characters.

Agree!
For me, Den-O FOR SURE (I think you'll understand me as you continue to watch it) and maybe Kiva and Blade.

Oh. XD

Character-wise I'd say it's Decade that is after Kabuto for me, because out of the core 4 I love... all 4 of them.

Yeah XDD

Speaking of it, don't you think that Tsukasa sometimes looks like Tendou but with like humor, fail moments and that stuff? I mean, he can be god-like but he's kinda "dunno what to do" sometimes xD

Haha, I've been discussing this on [livejournal.com profile] sennetari's LJ the past couple of daya, and in a nutshelll... not really. Or rather, only in the most general terms, in that they both behave arrogantly, except that even the ways in which that arrogance manifests are very different. And what lies beneath it is actually even more different.

But yeah, the most basic difference is that Tsukasa is a lot more human, he's shown to be fallible, and he's also shown to actually grow and learn from experience. Tendou... not so much. :D;;

The gist of how I see it is that Tendou really honestly believes he's god's gif to the world, and that he's pretty much better than anyone, ever, while in Tsukasa's case it seems to at least n part be Tsukasa putting on a front because he has trouble acknowledging his vulnerabilities. ANd also that Tendou is perfectly capable of behaving in social acceptable, polite ways, but chooses to ignore those behaviours when it suits him, sort of to make a specific point (usually to show someone up), while Tsukasa seems to... well, it's not that he doesnt' realize what is socially unacceptable, it's that he seems to not care because he appears never to have learned WHY people engage in social niceties and so by now he probably sees a lot of those behavioirs as unnecessary and maybe even hypocritical.

Indeed, arrogance is the word I was searching for.

Tsukasa is arrogant but he can be so human in many moments, specially recently in Natsumi related things.
Just to hear Tendou's catchphrase you can't don't see he thinks he's god, this sometimes can be cool, but thinking of it, is something you wouldn't like to hear from someone in real life.

About their manners, totally agree. Tendou has everything planned in his head, Tsukasa just don't care XD
This reminds me of Decade 28 when they arrive in the Amazon no Sekai, then everyone does the "III" thing, but Tsukasa just ignores it and goes for battle, something that Tendou would never do, he would act as a Daishocker's fellow for the sake of investigation.

Btw, I really love this kind of character that Tsukasa have :D
