GORO-CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!! DDDDDDDDD:

That was the one that really upset me. ;_; The others were, hm, as they should be. Good and proper. Sad, yes. But right. But but Goro-chan. Wah. I understand why he did it, but I don't have to LIKE it! D: This goes for Shinji as well. Powerful as all hell, but DO NOT WANT! *sob*

I agree re. the reset button. A hollow victory, indeed. A new chance at life, yes. But everything they learned through their struggles is gone. Poof. Though one wonders exactly what kind of wrinkles in the trousers of time caused Asakura to be out of prison and Megumi to be at Ore Journal... >_>;

Like I said, I was sure until the suit came off that that was actually Kitaoka fighting Asakura. DDDD:

And then it was GOro-chan, and I thought "Oh... of course it was" T______T

It's still sad, but also... he lived for sensei, you know? So what ELSE was he going to do? D:

And yeah, Shinji's death scene was amazing. I mean, Suga was awesome in it, but I think what made it so powerful was seeing Ren so broken up. For once he's not being aloof cool guy, because this is his best friend in the world, and he probably always assumed he'd go first. ;___;

As for the... ah, discontiuities at the end, the Asakura thing I think one can fanwank into it beign before his arrest. Because remember when Odin used the TimeVent, and Shinji is in jail and tells Kitaoka to make sure Asakura stays in jail? Kitaoka says later that the trial is going on right THEN. Now obviously, in real world terms it probably means that Asakura has been waiting his trial for months already, butthis is tv, so it can work.

Untl you realize Asakura is wearing the clothes he supposedly stole after breaking out of jail. :D;;;

And I have no idea about Megumi.

The other thing that gets me about the reset is Kitaoka. Because there's no reason to believe the reset buttons would change the fact that he's dying, so he's still got only a year. D:

Oh, Goro-chan's actions make perfect sense. I still don't like it, though, waaah! ;_;

Yes, Ren's anguish killed me a little inside. ;; The more I think about it, the more D: I become at Ren's demise, too. He won, through all that pain and suffering, and then he too goes poof. At least he had the good sense to take Eri to the beach before she slipped back into her coma. That way, she had one last happy memory of him. I would NOT have enjoyed waking up to find the love of my life dead on the floor next to my hospital bed. T_T (Okay, for this one, perhaps the reset isn't all hollow.)

Asakura simply has a very consistent fashion sense! Once a rockstar, always a rockstar! :D/

Maybe ORE Journal just has some seriously fucked up bad karma that works down both legs of the trousers of time. They'll end up with Megumi (whom I do not like at all) no matter what happens. XD

Hrm. Well. The magical siblings are back in their magic castle drawing happy, shiny pictures in stead of monsters. Maybe they draw them happy enough that the cancer doesn't happen, either?

Yeah, poor Ren. He's such a great guy under all the bravado. D:

I choose to believe that somehow or other Ren and Shinji's paths cross again and that they become great friends again. It's so sad to think they might not.

I really disliked Megumi as well. Even worse, I just don't see the point of that particular character in this series, other than one episode of hilarity at Kitoka's expense.

Maybe, except logically they only affect what is related to the mirror world, don't they? And well, isn't Goro-chan Kitaoka's secretary to atone for feeling responsible for Kitoaka not fidign out in time? Although I suppose things could have played out differently...

I don't know though, I'm not sure I'd change Kitaoka's ultimate fate, because I think it makes him appreciate life more. I just want him to get together with Reiko in time.

As much as I enjoy comedy and slapstick, I didn't like the Megumi stuff at all. Not past that one episode of Kitaoka-torture, anyway. :P She just wasn't very funny. Shimada was much more amusing on her own and didn't need that silly bint to steal her spotlight. >(

Mm. Kitaoka and Reiko do have potential for getting together. He's high profile and she's a reporter, so them meeting is more than probable. And then, hilarity will ensue. They truly are Mr Eager Puppy and Miss Unimpressed Kitty. ♥

Yeah, Megumi just bugged me, but Shimada was kind of awesome in her weirness.

so them meeting is more than probable.

We see them meeting after the reset button even. She goes to cover that corrupt company's trial and asks him if he's sure he'll win andhe goes "I'm super lawyer \:D/"
