Go-Onger is SPECIAL

Watched Go-Onger eps 29-31 last night. \:D/
Episode 29 but it was awesome because it was about The Wrath of Hiroto, which is pretty much a callback to when Yaguruma was being driven insane by Tendo back in Kabuto.
Except that in this case it's because of Miu nearly being killed, as opposed to being becauseof one big pissing contest.

Don't really have much more to say, other than angry!Hide is hot, and so you get pics!

Of course, in the end, the Go-Ongers remind him of the Importance of Nakama, and all is well, and a little bit cheesy, but cute.

Episode 30 is where the special starts. \:D/
In it, Kegareshia is an expert bartender, and makes a special drink to power up her Straw Banki's evil heart, except that Sosuke and Ren manage to spill it all over themselves and thus become evil. And obviously hilarity ensues, since their version of evil involves stupid scams, bullying little children in playgrounds, and holding up jewelry stores using the ultimate evil method of dragging their nails across a little portable chalkboard.
Yeah.
Anyway. Evil!Sosuke and evil!Ren:

Kegareshia mixing drinks of eeeeeevil \:D/

The best part as far as I'm concerned is when Miu confronts the two about their new eeeevil ways, and Sosuke rather smartly deals with it by giving her SHINNY JEWELRY.

Miu, being the dumb blonde that she is, is thrilled and completely forgets what she was doing in favor of telling Ani that Sosuke gave her a SHINNY present and wondering if it's okay to accept it.

Hiroto goes to confront the two, Ren gets up in his face, and of course Hiroto knocks him out with one punch.

But then Sosuke not only dodges all his blows, but actually kicks him in the face, and walks away all Mister Hot Stuff.

Miu, rather awesomely, finds this really really hot and kakkoii and clearly wants Sosuke even more than she usually does. \:D/

I love Miu so much. Later, when they're confronting the Straw Banki, she actually accidently tells him that, because of him, Sosuke has become cool! Cue the Go-Ongers looking at her like she's on drugs. I don't think I've ever loved Miu as much as I did in this ep. XD
Anyway, Speedor decided to knock some sense into Sosuke, literally, by becoming Go-Roader GT and punching him in the face, and then they have a very touching scene about the importance of having an aibo who has faith in you and is there to... punch you in the face when you are evil, I guess.

And then Sosuke has an undeniable Crowning Moment of Awesome when he shows up riding a flying Go-Roader GT and saves everyone's ass.

Sosuke really IS awesome, I don't care how dumb is. :Dv

The other noteable thing about the episode is a random moment of Gunpei/Hanto tough love at the end. <|¦D

And then there was episode 31, which so far is the pinnacle of SPECIALNESS. I'd seen clips, but I still was not prepared for the utter crack and hilarity of it all. It was midnight and I was sitting there almost crying from laughing so much. XD
It's the episode where a monster shows up from Sound World, and noise makes it grow bigger, so the Go-Ongers and Gaiark team up to make music to make it shrink. And it is AWESOME.
First there is Kitaneidas and Yogostein singing a rock song song about pollution, with Kegareshia playing the battery.

WHen THAT doesn't work, because it's technically noise, Hiroto decides to pwn everyone by singing a love song.

Except that the poor thing receives a massive blow to his ego when that not only does not work, but also makes the monster grow MORE. Hiroto spends most of the rest of the episode having a meltdown and pulling the petals off a rose. XD

It actually turns out that it's not really his fault... the problem is that they need FEMALE voices.
So Kitaneidas and Yogostein... dress in drag and sing a song about wanting to be chased and caught and... I was just dying by now.

Obviously that doesn't work, and they are sad and join Hiroto in his meltdowny angst.

But Saki had the great idea to form an idol unit, the G3 Princesses, with Miu and Kegareshia! And they show up dressed in pink and are girly and cute and save the day. \:D/

And I loved the guys' reaction to their song. XD

In the end, Kegareshia leaves telling Miu and Saki that the next time they meet they'll be enemies again, and Miu and Saki (and Bear R) are sad, because Kegareshia looked so PRETTY (she really did) and they could have gotten rid of the guys and been BFFs forever.
Alas, it was not to be.

Oh, and there was Gunpei and Hanto henshining together, and I'm kind of being really tinhatty about these two:

Date: 2010-02-22 01:09 am (UTC)Seriously, though, I was doing THAT meme, and when the least favorite character question came up I realized I couldn't even list Yogostein and Kitaneidas there. EVERYONE is awesome.
