Now leaving the darkest timeline

How long has it been since Regional Holiday Music? Almost exactly three months, right? Way too long in any case, but Community is finally back. I’ve missed these characters and  this show so much.

Urban Matrimony and the Sandwich Arts was one of the more “normal” Community episodes, and while I do think that you need episodes like this to balance out blanket forts and zombie apocalypses, I also find it really amusing that this episode also contained an entire subplot about how if weirdness is in your nature you should embrace it and not try to be normal (hard not to take Troy and Abed’s subplot as meta commentary, isn’t it?).

It's gonna be a learning process w/posting here again, but I'm looking forward to it!

Yeah, it’s a little weird to try to get back in the mindset for longform posts. And just today I remembered how posting to communities worked (oh, you ‘re supposed to make community specific posts, right! And if like you post fic to your own journal, then just a link….)

I even found myself wanting to like a post, and then, right, no likes… and minimal effort interaction that requires no actual interaction is part of what I dislike of fandom on social media.

It's a whole other learning curve that I gotta get used to! I do like that it's easier to sort of filter people, and you can have longer conversations without having to split it up or other people randomly jump in, but I'm going to have to remember how this all works all over again orz
