Shinkenger:

1. The character I first fell in love with: Takeru, actually, pretty much in the first episode.
2. The character I never expected to love like as much as I do now: ...Ryunosuke. I don't LOVE him, by any stretch, but the fact that Aiba was in Shinkenger actually kept from watching for months, so to fidn out that that I actually enjoyed the character was a surprise.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Kaoru? Although I don't HATE her, I just dont' care very much. Although she did get to be cooler towards the end.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: ...Mako? I don't know about EVERYONE, but what with all the talk around LJ about how Mako is a bad example that single-handedly sets women's lib back by about 50 years just by existing, it seems liek she gets a fair bit of hate. And I personally think there's nothing wrong witha girl wanting a family and liking to cook, and think she's an amazing, compelling character. One of my favorite female characters ever, in fact.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: no one comes to mind
6. The character I would shag anytime: Juuzo
7. The character I'd want to be like: Hm. I don't know that I want to be like anyone. There's certainly aspects of several characters that I find really admirable, but as a whole I wouldn't want to be them.
8. The character I'd slap: Kotoha. Please get yourself a personality.
9. A pairing that I love: Takeru/Mako
10. A pairing that I despise: I don't DESPISE any pairings like I despite certain pairings in other fandoms *cough*Ren/Shinji!*cough*see my answers below*cough*, but... I find Takeru/Ryu kinda... very very iffy. And then a pairing like Ryu/Mako I honestly just find kind of silly.
11. Favorite character: Oh shit. Uuuuh. Genta, Takeru, Mako and Juuzo.
12. My five favorite characters: Genta, Takeru, Mako, Juuzo and Chiaki
13. My five least favorite characters: Kaoru's bitch, Shitari... and Kotoha, for completely different reasons.
14. Which character I am most like: I don't think I'm LIKE anyone in Shinkenger. But I find Genta to be the easiest to relate to, if that counts.
15. My deep, dark fandom secret: I think a lot of the *~opinions~* that a large portion of the fandom holds are utterly ridiculous. :D


Agito:

1. The character I first fell in love with: Hikawa. And he remains my favorite.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Shoichi. Not because I didn't like him, simply becauseI didn't expect to love him.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Uh. I have no clue who Everyone Else dislikes in Agito.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Same as above. :D
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: No one
6. The character I would shag anytime: Hikawa. Duh.
7. The character I'd want to be like: Ozawa and Hikawa
8. The character I'd slap: Hojo. :D
9. A pairing that I love: I don't really focus on shipping in Agito, but this is an intersting question, because throug the series I THOUGHT I shipped Hikawa/Ozawa, and then I realized... I really don't, their relationship isn't about htat. And then I was kind of -_- at the whole Ozawa/Hojo thing at the end, and then they had the cameo in Ryuki Episode Final and I realized... I don't SHIP it actively, but it's kind of awesome. Also I really liked Ryo's relationship with his biker girlfriend at the end, it was so cute.
10. A pairing that I despise: Well, I really hate the idea of any configuration of Hikawa, Shoichi and Ryo being shipped with each other. And I really really hope people don't ship Shoichi and Mana-chan, because that makes my soul cry inside.
11. Favorite character: TADA NO NINGEN DA!
12. My five favorite characters: Hikawa, Ozawa, Shoichi, Ryo, Mana-chan
13. My five two least favorite characters: Kino and Aki
14. Which character I am most like: Hm. Maybe I can say that I think I used to be a little like Mana-chan at that age, sorta

Kabuto:

1. The character I first fell in love with: Daisuke? Bear in mind that I first watched a couple of eps simply for Kazuki, back when they aired.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Yaguruma, Kagami and Kageyama are all characters I didn't expect to love. Maybe Kageyama in that he was the only one I kinda hated for a bit.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Tendo. :D
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Uh. No one? I have no idea?
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer: No one, but I will say that I USED to be more amused by Tendo than I am now.
6. The character I would shag anytime: Wagatomo KaGAAAmi AND Yaguruma. Kagami probably smells better, though. :3
7. The character I'd want to be like: Gon or Kagami
8. The character I'd slap: Kageyama, for most of the series.
9. A pairing that I love: Hoppers ♡
10. A pairing that I despise: I despise Tendo/Kagami with the fire of a thousand suns. Of all of THOSE types of ships, it may be the one I despise most because of relative popularity.
11. Favorite character: Oh shit. Yaguruma and Kagami. REALLY can't pick between the two.
12. My five favorite characters: Yaguruma, Kagami, Misaki, Gon, and either Daisuke or Kageyama as fith. There's actually SO many characters I love in this series, though, that it sucks to limit it to 5.
13. My least favorite characters: Negishi and Mamiya Reina.
14. Which character I am most like: I'm not really like anyone. Misaki in SOME ways (mostly in how she relates to people, in that she's not really a particularly WARM person in general).

Oh, god, yes, I can be SUCH a shipper when something catches my attention. Like Reiko/Kitaoka (I don't know if you've watched Ryuki :3), or the Hoppers, or Tsukasa/Natsumi and Yusuke/Daiki. But if it doesn't come ORGANICALLY from the actual story and characters, I just don't see the point in forcing it.

For instance, how it was at the start of Double, with with everyone kind of picking a ship with barely an ep aired (or without ANY eps aired, just based on the assumption that Shotaro and Philip would OBVIOUSLY be totally married), and how it seems to be with Goseiger too.

they're all great, strong characters and I must insist that they get the respect they deserve because what is the point of shipping them otherwise?! Aaaaand now I'm in a snit about slash fangirls XD

Oh, I also DETEST how so many people that write Tsukasa/Yusuke basically turn Yusuke into a gullible idiot. Just because he's NICE and chooses to mostly believe the best of people doesn't mean he's an idiot. I don't think he's even shown to be particularly naive. >>

And again, no Ryuki? I will just say... Shinji and Ren is my absolute favorite Rider friendship. Yes, more than Kenzaki and Hajime, even.

I keep meaning to get to Ryuki but it hasn't happened yet. Because of space issues I usually stream but with veoh going down I'm going to have to dl :/ Hopefully I can get to it during spring break or something, I've got Shinkenger and Agito sitting in front of me right now.

Yeah, if it's not happening in the story it just seems so forced. It's even gotten to the point where I can't play a dialogue-based RPG and ship the playable character because the relationship doesn't work :/ though maybe I'm just picky? XD

UGH THE DOUBLE CRAP ;A; I can't think back on that time without shuddering. I like the Shotaro and Philip relationship as it is in the show, but they're not 'OMG TOTALLY MARRIED' or anything, people need to let them be aibou because their partnership is personally not any less profound. I dunno, I have weird thoughts about Double since I don't feel the need to salivate over every spoiler / watch every episode five times (at the moment, anyway). And as for Goseiger, well, I'm just hoping it goes well. I don't think it's going to be the best sentai of all time but I am hoping to enjoy it, which is all I can really ask out of it. There are certain parts of my f-list that are all aflutter over it, though, and sometimes I wish they would shut up :/ It's been one episode, people, just because you like the actors doesn't mean it's automatically awesome.

Neither do I! I tend to think of him in terms of my man Godai, since I love original flavor Kuuga so much, but Yuusuke stands on his own as a strong character with strong beliefs about the goodness of people. He's not naive, he's not stupid, and he's not some kind of fluttery girl. He's a genuinely nice guy with great friends and a tendency to believe in people. That's not a sin against Rider-hood (if it were some of our modern Riders would be in hell somewhere) and it's not a flaw. Just because Daiki and Tsukasa have tendencies to be asses where Yuusuke would rather ':Db' and be nice does not make Yuusuke weaker in some way.

Re: Shinji and Ren--sweet, I'm looking forward to it 8D I've watched two episodes of Ryuki and was already all ♥ at them, I can't waaaaait~

I always tended to be sort of a canon whore, to be honest. Now, this doesn't mean that I can't like a pairing unless it's canon... it means that I can't like a pairing that necessitates that you ignore or change canon to make it work (and by that I mean both glossing over/ignoring a canonical love interest, or the need to warp a character to make the ship work, like in the examples we've been talking about).

I find the attitude certain people, who are more Tenimyu fans than anything, have adopted ("In before Goseiger!!!") just really really ugly.

Oh, so you've met Shinji already! I love Shinji so much, with all his flailing and failiness and riding around in his little scooter sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. After much thought, I'm pretty sure he's my favorite main Rider. XD

(And of course, Ryuki has Kitaoka, who is my favorite Rider character EVER)

I think all of these battles about this crap is just stupid. You liked them first? Yay, good for you. But please don't make it about who liked who when and in what because Tenimyu is hardly the paragon of acting skills (in several cases, anyway, obviously there are exceptions but it is a goddamn MUSICAL ABOUT TENNIS and argh). The only time I was ever amused by all of this Tenimyu vs Toku crap was when Seto Koji started singing for Kiva and everyone was really surprised XD;;

I dunno, I hate being an elitist bitch but I just wish I could be in each fandom without wannabe crossover fangirls who only watch stuff for actors they already like spouting crap. Which is not to say toku fandom is any more mature, of course. @____@ can all of you just go back to your own corners and stop arguing about stuff like 'I like this guy more than anybody in the world and he's in this so I'm going to get into this fandom and never look at its awesome history blah blah blah'

You know, that sucks for how convenient Veoh can be, for people that can watch it, but I have to say... for thoseof us that are blocked, it's probably not bad in the sense that it seems that many people weren't bother to upload things elsewhere because it was already on Veoh.

I'm not crying over the loss of it, but when MU gives me dl limits and Vuze slows my torrents to a crawl it's irritating I can't just hop over there for a few episodes. :/ The most irritating part is that the site itself is still up, it just won't play any videos when you click on them, I get this false sense of hope XD

Haha, well, to each their own and all that. I liked Shinji from the start, but it IS very much because of this evolution through the series that I got to love him as much as I do, I will say that.

I tried to watch Ryuki right after Blade-Faiz-Kabuto and it just didn't gel at the time, my capacity for dumb all over my screen was just non-existent. Hopefully I can get back into it, though, because I want to figure him out really desperately. ♥
