Starting over
Aug. 27th, 2009 02:06 pmSince it's been so long since I put my Ryuki watching on hold, I figured it would be better to just start over from the beginning, so I did.
I'd forgotten just how awesomely DUMB and adorkable and hilarious Shinji is. ¦D
Also, the first time Ren henshins is really really awesome when you watch knowing who he is. :3

Character deaths

This is... actually really interesting, because very often character deaths don't exactly shock me. I mean... specially not when it's a character I like. Once, when talking about Jabi from Garo withdimmie, she said that she could tell exactly what sort of character she was just from the fact that I liked her... right down to the fact that she'd be killed off. She's right.
Also, I read spoilers. :D;;;
So anyway, ( deaths that actually SHOCK me are rare. )
And well, there's other character deaths that really affected me, but somehow ( they weren't shocking, per se. )
And I really don't expect X to ever be finished (and at this point I'm not sure I want CLAMP to go back to it >.>), but if it ever is... while I don't think it's inevitable that Fuuma will die, I know that there is a very very good chance that he will. Really all I'd like is for Fuuma's death to be good, when it comes down to it.
Oh, and since I still have the last episode to go... I'm going to be all sorts of sad and surprised if Hikawa dies in Agito.

dimmie was right. Kitaoka (aka The Douche) seriously truly is Keigo.
Well, he's an aspect of Keigo. Keigo's not particularly concerned with making money (he has more than you can shake a stick at) and I think he's actually quite moral (uh... in his own special way :D;;), but other than that? Drinking fine wine? Massages at a spa? Obviously thinks he's God's gift to humanity? The smooth operator/self-important prick attitude?
Totally Keigo. I can definitely see him telling people to be yoi'd by his bigi.

Seriously it's like someone had a checklist of character traits that make Mura go nuts.
Leather duster, check.
Spikey, kinda Fuuma-y hair, check.
Large, unexplained chip on his shoulders, check.
Badass, SO check.
Aloof, laconic attitude, check.
More to him than meets the eye, check.
That said, it would save everyone a LOT of time if he'd just explains the rules of the game to Shinji.
